Lucie Pinson has been working for over 10 years on transforming the financial sector to make it more sustainable. It was with Friends of the Earth France that she began to develop and lead numerous campaigns targeting banks and other financial players, before joining the Sunrise Project to coordinate a European campaign aimed at insurers. In 2020, she founded Reclaim Finance to reach out to the entire financial sector, from individual private players to regulators, including multi-stakeholder coalitions, central banks and other standard-setting bodies. She has convinced dozens of French and international financial players to adopt significant policies in support of halting the development of fossil fuels and promoting their gradual phase-out. In 2020, she was awarded the Goldman Prize for the Environment in recognition of her efforts to end financial support for the coal sector.
