“Market Transparency at work”

Date: 29th June 2011
Time:16:30-18:00,followed by an informal drinks reception
Location:Thomson Reuters, 17, Avenue Marnix, 1000 Brussels (metro : Porte de Namur)

The European Commission will shortly publish its proposal amending the Markets in Financial Instruments Directive (MiFID). Following its Consultation last December, we expect a key element of its proposals will focus on the market transparency issues.

The debate over pre-and post-trade transparency is often confusing and raises many questions. What is the difference between pre- and post-trade? Why do some say OTC markets are different to exchange markets? Transparency to whom?

Paris Europlace-EIFR, Frankfurt Main Finance and the City of Londonwould therefore like to shed some light on transparency and invite you to join a practical demonstration on pre- and post-trade transparency at Thomson Reuters. The live demonstration will show transparency at work in the equity, fixed income and OTC derivative markets. A practitioner from a bank, an investor and an exchange will be on hand to explain things.

We hope you will be able to make it.
