  • Laurence Boone was nominated Country Head of Santander Corporate & Investment Banking and Head of Banking & Corporate Finance France in September 2024. She has an extensive track record in both the private and public sectors with a solid background in economics. She held senior positions in various financial institutions and political authorities such as the French government or the OECD.

  • She served as Secretary of State for European Affairs for the French Republic from 2022 to 2024.

  • Previously, she held the position of Chief Economist for the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and

    Development (OECD) from 2018 to 2022

  • In 2016, she joined AXA Group where she acted as Chief Economist, Global Head of Multi Asset Client solutions & Head of Research until 2018

  • From 2014 to 2016, she was a Special Advisor for French President François Hollande regarding Economic and Financial Affairs

  • Prior to that, she served as an Advisor of the Board of Economists for the French Prime Minister from 2012 to 2014

  • In 2011 she joined BofA Merill Lynch as Head of European Economic Research until 2014

  • From 2004 to 2011, she acted as Chief Economist at Barclays Capital

  • In parallel, she was a member of Kering's Board of Directors for 4 years from 2010 to 2014. She is a member of the circle of economists and has taught at various institutions including École Polytechnique, ENSAE, Sciences Po Paris and École Normale Supérieure

  • Laurence Boone holds a PhD in Applied Econometrics from the London Business School, as well as various degrees in Economics and Modelling. She has published on major economic issues, including European economic policy coordination and the European financial crisis.
