Laurent is Group Credit Officer, responsible for the proper implementation of policies, procedures and methodologies, for financial institutions across EMEA and North America. Prior to his role, Laurent had been analyst for financial institutions in France and the Benelux region since February 2015. Prior to joining Moody’s Laurent has worked as Head of Regulatory and Prudential Affairs with Crédit Agricole S.A., Deputy Head of large bank control with the Autorité de Contrôle Prudentiel et de Regulation, Seconded National Expert with the Competition Directorate General of the European Commission (DG-Competition) and Member of the Secretariat of the Basel Committee on Banking Supervision.

Laurent holds postgraduate degrees in International Finance and Economics, from Université Paris IX Dauphine, and Political History and Philosophy, from the Ecole des Hautes Etudes en Sciences Sociales. He graduated from the Institut d’Etudes Politiques de Paris.
