Small & Mid-Caps are essential for achieving EU sustainable finance
objectives, given their role in the economy. And conversely,
integrating the ESG dimension in their strategic planning and
reporting is increasingly necessary for these firms to access
financing sources. However, the current ESG reporting and rating
system is too complex inconsistent and burdensome, requiring it to
be adapted to these smaller companies.
Recommendations were made in this perspective by a working group
steered by Eurofi to promote the application of ESG criteria to
Small & Mid-Caps.
